Konqueror as a web browser still unfortunately lags quite a way behind Firefox in terms of compatibility. For that reason, many KDE users stick with Firefox, despite the poorer integration between the desktop environment and the browser.

You may or may not have heard that Microsoft recently sponsored the Apache Foundation, to the tune of $100,000 a year.

Reorder your Boot Menu with KGRUBEditor

Maybe you've just installed a dual boot system. It's all going well and good, but when you start the computer, Windows appears at the bottom of the boot menu.

You might still want to use Windows as your primary operating system, and so pressing down a few times and Enter each boot time could get frustrating. You'd ideally like Windows at the top of the boot menu, and Linux …

GNOME Do vs Launchy

Launchy and GNOME Do are both two launcher programs that are designed to let you quickly open applications and files and perform tasks you want done quickly, with just the tapping of a few keys.

Previously, Launchy had been an open source solution, albeit for Windows only, and GNOME Do was the Linux solution.
