OSNews is reporting that Sony have apparently written code to specifically allow the Linux kernel to run a lot easier on the PS3.

People have already had success running Yellow Dog and Fedora Core on the PS3, but with a bit of luck, this hack should make it even easier to get Linux on your PS3.

Makes a change from a certain next-gen console manufacturer who I'm guessing are dead against Linux on their console (I'm not talking the Wii here).
