I think I've followed your instructions properly and the sync does seem to be working, but very slowly - sunbird takes 5 minutes to do anything while the google calendar link is open. Any suggestions?

davidghallam,
I did notice that Sunbird takes a bit longer to do things such as editing existing events -- it seems to wait for some time after the an event is 'dropped' into a new timeslot (as you can see in the video), for example, but it seemed to work acceptably well when I tried it.
I'm afraid it's a while since I did this tutorial, so I don't know if something has changed since then to make this work differently, so I don't think I'll be much help in fixing it, sorry.
