    Podcast: Mark Kennedy of Celtx

Myself and Chris Van Patten (of sister site YouMakeMedia) recently interviewed Mark Kennedy, CEO of Celtx. Celtx is a commercial open source product for media production. It bills itself as:

Celtx is the world’s first fully integrated solution for media pre-production and collaboration. It replaces old fashioned ‘paper, pen & binder’ media creation with a digital approach to writing and organizing that’s more complete, simpler to work with, and easier to share.

In the interview, which is around 20 minutes long, we talk about Celtx as an open source project, some history behind it and the community as well as focusing on the media perspective too.

Peter Upfold is a technology enthusiast from the UK. Peter’s interest in Linux stems back to 2003, when curiosity got the better of him and he began using SUSE 9.0. Now he runs Ubuntu on his white MacBook, runs a CentOS-based web server from home for his personal website and dabbles in all sorts of technology things.
